Job Description: Senior Systems Engineer - Gameplay

The Senior Systems Engineer with emphasis on Gameplay works with the game’s Technical Director to drive moment-to-moment gameplay for our VR strategy titles. This individual is comfortable working within an established framework and toolset to translate high level gameplay concepts to tangible VR experiences, while exercising significant creative freedom in the implementation and iteration of these concepts. The ideal candidate combines a creative eye for game design with deep experience crafting compelling core gameplay.

Responsibilities

• Implement, iterate and polish gameplay systems
• Work with designers to combine gameplay systems into features
• Create development tools that aid in development and tuning of gameplay systems
• Contribute to Experiment 7's engineering culture by improving our core architecture, institutional knowledge and gameplay technology best practices.
  

Qualifications

• Significant gameplay engineering expertise and experience
• Experience writing performant code
• Proven ability to work with an established codebase and architecture
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A deep love of games
