This week we were at the first ever Hascon convention, a mere hop, skip and a jump away from our NYC office in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island.
Dungeon Chess Producers Demetri Detsaridis and Coray Seifert were on hand to demo the game to attendees young, old, and everything in between alongside the entire family of Hasbro products.
"Seeing Dungeon Chess next to such landmark games as Monopoly, Magic: The Gathering, and Dungeons & Dragons itself was pretty incredible," said Detsaridis. "These are games we played when we were the same age as these guys and to see the game we built from scratch displayed alongside them is a profound experience."
Over the course of four days, a non-stop adventuring party of players stepped into the Yawning Portal, many of them experiencing VR for the first time.
"Between the excitement around VR and the love of D&D, it's no surprise to feel the love," added Seifert. "Also, the Hasbro folks have to be literally the nicest group of people on Earth. Then again, when you see My Little Pony on your way into work every day, how mean can you really get?"
